It took me a while to share these photos with you only because words cannot express how truly amazing this little family is and the strength of a mother that is not only moving but a powerful story. I have lost a pregnancy and I only got to 17 weeks along but it felt like something so surreal and wondered how something like this can be taken away from me? I still think about that moment and how scared it was to get pregnant again but also how thankful I was given that gift again when I was pregnant with my son.
I want to share a dear friends story with you, I cannot compare my story with with theirs and can only imagine what it felt like to go full term and loose a precious gift. I was honored to photograph her and her sweet family at one of their favorite spots; the Edgefield McMenamins, and even more honored to share her photos and help get her story out there. Liz hopes that her story will helps others who may have gone through a loss of a child and helping them cope and to know that it is ok to move forward and be happy again, remembering them, to laugh again and to live again, despite how hard it may be and how it feels like you shouldn’t be allowed to be happy again.
