I know there are Brides out there that need that extra little boost of help in planning their wedding, I have a couple of blogs to share that may be useful to you. The first one is called “The Pissed off Bride” Although not pissed off at all, she is actually trying to help Brides stay within a Budget and sharing all sorts of info while planning her own wedding, feel free to check it out and click here.

One of my ultimate Fave Wedding Blogs would haveto be Style Me PRetty for those Oh so Stylish Brides out there looking for some really cool funky ideas for their big day. I absolutely Love some of the new ideas for Guest books and favors!!

Another great resource as well as wedding & event planning, No Ordinary Affair in Wilsonville, OR has a great Blog and website with awesome references. I think that having a wedding planner is a fabulous way to relieve the stress and work it takes to planning a wedding, and you dont have to pay a fortune for it! I was recently interviewed by Becky, the Owner of No Ordinary Affair for their monthly newsletter and though I would post a tidbit of it below. Thanks Becky, it was such an honor to be chosen for this!

Interview with owner Deyla Huss

Q: How did you get started in photography?
A: I always loved photography ever since I was a teen.
Years passed with “goofing off” with any camera around me.
As soon as I met my husband, he purchased my first Minolta
and I really started taking an interest in the actual art behind
photography. In 2007, my brother-in-law and a mutual
friend asked me to shoot their weddings. I was intrigued by
this new possibility of doing something I absolutely LOVE and
making it a business. I booked 15 more weddings that same
year from referrals alone. How blessed am I?

Q: What do you love most about photographing weddings?
A: I absolutely adore weddings for the passion they are filled
with: the bride’s first look at her new husband, the
anticipation that follows up to the vows, the tears that fall
down the cheek of the father of the bride while walking his
daughter down that aisle. I love to capture these moments
so they can look back on the portraits and live that day all
over again!

Q: What was one of your most unique or challenging
weddings to photograph?
A: Every wedding has its own uniqueness; I always want to
remind brides to put a lot of “you” in the day and don’t go by
all the “rules”.

Q: What is unique about you & your business?
A: I strive to make my technique and process different, more
about the client, not about my portfolio or album layouts. I’m
a wife and a mother and have experienced the wedding and
raising children, so I can relate to a lot of my clients out
there. I capitalize on my personality; I LOVE it when a bride
becomes a friend! I love to connect with clients and really
get to know them. My style is more fashion journalistic with
a side of funky fresh and a little bit of clean and simple.

Q: Is there anything else you would like the vendors to know
about you?
A: I have worked with a lot of vendors and always try to give
them props in my blog for doing such a fabulous job. These
vendors work so hard as well to make this day special and
smooth and I am blessed to have worked with some amazing
people!
