Portland Newborn Photographer | Newborn close-up

Let me introduce you to baby Turin, hes 10 days old and I absolutely LOVE to shoot newborns at this age. I don’t typically post alot of Newborns on the blog but maybe that will change! If you would like to get a newborn session, the perfect time to schedule these would be within the first couple of weeks of birth. Newborn sessions typically a lot more time then a regular portrait session so blocking out atleast a couple hours for this would be ideal, a few other notes to prepare for your newborn session is make sure you have the heat turned UP! making it super warm in their helps with a sleepy comfortable baby. If you have a room with beautiful window light, I will more then likely like to use that room for the shoot because we want the light as natural as possible so you wont miss these beautiful newborn features. I usually bring some props but I also like to look around your home  for odds and ends to possible use as props to make some fun art shots as well. These shots are awesome for canvas wraps in the nursery or even in your family room.  And ofcourse I love to capture the parents interacting with their newborn and adding to this experience as much as possible.  For example, think of a beautiful new family portrait, all of you on a big bed with beautiful light color bedding cuddling in a blanket! doesnt that sound wonderful? and how perfect would that be to have a 24×36 Canvas on your bedroom wall!

If you need help or a visual on how these Canvas’s could look on your walls, let me know and I would love to show you some examples!

now on to a little close-up with baby Turin 🙂
