I got an email sometime last year saying just this:

” Hello. I love your work. I have been holding on to your name for a year or so now and the time has come to get in touch with you.  I would like to get some engagement photos done in October or November. My soon to be husband does not like getting his picture taken so I figured getting them done by you would be easy on him and we would end up looking good. ”

First of all….. How awesome is Carrie for holding on to my name until the day came for her to book an engagement shoot and her wedding!! Carrie and Todd went to tell me about how they met, and well lets just say he literally was her night in shining armor and “rescued” her in a snow storm. How romantic is that, a snow storm, a shiny truck coming to her rescue, him whisking her away to never-ending bliss… ahhhh sounds like a movie I would watch!

What better way to shoot their engagement session but up in a snow storm at Timberline Lodge ! Sure we were hoping for some blue skies and not so windy and snowy weather but seriously this is how they met so why not? Carrie & Todd, I cannot wait until your big day and toast to your beautiful marriage!

In the snow — without mittens, scarves, hats, or earmuffs?! Oh my word, I’m shivering just imagining what you all went through. You brave souls! 🙂

Looks perfectly cozy. Beautiful and such a sweet story.
