A Mansion Engagement in Portland, Oregon

When I first talked to Madeline & Taylor we truly hit it off, these too are goofy for eachother and they have the most sincere way of loving eachother. I had the BEST time getting to know them both better and ofcourse hanging out with Duke, their incredible yellow Lab! Madeline really had hopes for starting their engagement session off at the Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon and the darn weather gods were not on our side and rescheduled to try and atleast have some not-so-muddy weather as the Tulip festival can get pretty nasty when its muddy. Then on a random day off for us all, it happened to be a gorgeous day and I called up Madeline in hopes they would be available and was thrilled we could all make this last minute plan work out for everyone! We were at the last day of the festival, so made it just in time!

Next we drove back to Portland to head over to the lovely Pittock Mansion and Madeline and Taylor changed into a more formal outfit for this very chic evening. Madeline wore a gorgeous black dress from Anthropologie and I was OBSESSED with how this looked on her. Taylor looking pretty dapper himself, they showed me their dancing skills as the sun was setting and we shot well into blue hour which was fitting for this.

How they met

They both met in college while they were at University of Oregon, both played sports; Taylor played football and Madeline played Lacrosse. Taylor had walked into a tutoring session and laid eyes on the beautiful Madeline and let the fun begin!

Taylor, what do you love most bout Madeline?

“The thing that i love most about Madeline is her outgoing personality and her smile. Her hardwork and dedication to the everyday grind is something I appreciate about her. She knows how to make me laugh and is always there to support me.”

Madeline, what do you love about Taylor?

“What I love most about Taylor is that he really grounds me. He brings me back to reality, talks me off a ledge and is always the first one to make me laugh. He has a really big heart and is always looking to do something for someone other than himself. He has a strong love for sports and for children and loves to combine the two and coach. Overall he is a very hardworking and loving guy that provides for me in so many ways – I am so lucky to be able to call him mine!”

Could you share a funny story about your relationship?

“Taylor grew up playing baseball with and against my older brother Harrison so Madeline knew about “Big T” growing up. Madeline’s mom knew Taylor was at Oregon and would make comments to her like” Big T is a very nice boy, you should hangout with him”. Basically she manifested our relationship and she wasn’t wrong…he is a very nice boy! lol.

Madeline’s family is full of die hard Oregon State fans. She grew up absolutely hating the Oregon Ducks( thier football team especially ). The irony of Madeline dating and ultimately marrying a Duck football player is funny. Madeline always finds a way to flick Taylor some shit about the ducks and vis versa.”

These two are getting married next month and I am THRILLED to be a part of such an incredible love story!
