A timeless and chic micro-wedding for two of the sweetest along with their lovely families was the best way to start 2021 off. Katie and Ross had originally planned a larger wedding last year and ofcourse they had to switch things up and dial their guest list down drastically and also had to change their venue due to the latest regulations that hit the county hard. Things again took a devastating turn and after loosing a family member, ofcourse their wedding plans came to a hault. As soon as they picked back up with wedding planning, these two realize they just truly want to be married and do not want to wait any longer (I mean do you blame them?). As soon as they heard their original wedding venue; The Portland Waverly Country Club, was available as well as the church opened up again to accommodate their micro-wedding, it was back on! It was the most magical day ever! Briar & Ivy made their floral dreams come true and Greenlight creative designed a true starry night within the space their reception dinner was held.
Bridal Bliss set up a lovely sit down dinner outside the Waverly and because it was a chilly February winter evening, they included blankets, heaters and a cover on the side with Greenlight’s twinkly lights all over truly making it look like an indoor space. It was intimate, cozy and unforgettable truly!
Their beautiful ceremony was held at my favorite church downtown; St. Marys Cathedral Church and one of Katie’s favorite areas at the church is their stunning courtyard. Ofcourse we made sure to photograph what we could there before the rain hit and right when we finished, it started to rain, perfect timing! Katie got Fur shawl’s from BHLDN for the girls which gave their wedding attire a very chic look. The guys wore classic black Tuxedos and looked very dapper!
