Skamania Lodge Wedding | Elise & Louis

Happiest New Year to all of you! I am way behind on my blog posts to show off all of my lovely events last year so I am playing catch up and would like to start it off with Elise & Louis’s stunning Jewish wedding at Skamania Lodge! I absolutely LOVE Jewish weddings and much like their other traditions, Elise and Louis had incorporated several meaningful rituals symbolizing the beauty of the relationship of husband and wife.

They had their gorgeous wedding up at Skamania Lodge overlooking the Columbia Gorge and what a beautiful day! I love the views off the back of the property, and especially while sipping a glass of merlot and sitting in one of their adirondack chairs while soaking it all in.

They opted to see each other before their wedding ceremonies began and then moved into signing the beautiful Ketubah with their parents surrounding them. After this, they separated into different areas for another ritual while greeting their guests who sing to them and toast them. Elise got a sort of throne to sit on while guests came up to her while the guys toasted in another area. Then comes my favorite part; the Unveiling of the bride. during prayers and song, the from places the veil over the bride’s face until they see each other during the ceremony, It is a beautiful custom.

Capturing Elise and Louis throughout these beautiful customs was such a pleasure. Loved how they looked at one another and smiled throughout. Oh and BTW their reception was seriously so fun! the band is amazing and had everyone on the dance floor the entire time! I occlude posted a hundred of just the dancing but had to narrow it down 😉 Here are some of my faves throughout their day! enjoy!
