Wedding Albums + Guest Books

Lets talk about Albums, Guest Books and Parent Albums! Whats the difference? Why do I want one? How do I order one? all of this info and more will be chatted about in this post. But first let me explain to you why these are always such a GOOD idea and never are they regretted.

You are getting married, you planned this incredible day and you have booked your vendor team and everything will be captured on film and video (if booked) and you get your images back in an online gallery or on a usb, So now what? Sure you share them on social media, you may use one or two as a screen saver but very seldomly they are printed and hung on your walls, because lets be honest, life gets busy and months or sometimes years go by and you finally get that one print for your wall. Sound familiar?

This is why I typically include a 10×10 heirloom album in some of my wedding collections because I truly believe that having something tangible like an album is the PERFECT way to showcase your wedding favorites. A wedding album is a way to tell the story of your amazing day, for the exact purpose of you being able to relive your day over and over again while flipping through those thick soft pages.

A few other reasons that albums are the way to go! Order a parent album for your parents maybe as a thank you if they took on the costs of your wedding or just simply to thank them for being such wonderful parents, trust me they would LOVE one. These albums are typically smaller and you can create unique image layouts for each set of parents, personalizing it to make even more special. Or you can also order smaller copies of your heirloom album to give them as gifts as well.

WHAT ABOUT COST?

As I mentioned above, most of my wedding collections include a 10×10 Heirloom Album because that is how much I want you to have them. They are typically heavily discounted when included in the wedding collections and ofcourse you are welcome to add on any others you want as well. If you decide to grab one a la carte, please do! Our included albums come with 30 pages/15 lay flat spreads and usually up to 75 Images designed in house. You are always welcome to add more spreads to allow for more images to be displayed, also customized covers such as a photo cut-out on the cover or debossing your names and wedding date. There are several GORGEOUS covers to choose from; Leathers, linens, and velvets. You will have the option to come into the studio after your wedding and choose your cover, add-on options, etc.. and Ill guide you through the process if you are in town. Ofcourse most of my couples are from out of town and maybe can’t make it in and that is ok, I will send you step-by-step ordering instructions through email and we can even set up a virtual meeting to go over things and guide you through it that way.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PARENT ALBUM AND HEIRLOOM ALBUM?

Both are great and yes there are slight differences between the two; The parent albums are typically smaller (6×9, 8×8), the thickness of the pages are just a little thinner then the Heirloom albums, Parent albums have less cover choices but still the same quality. Heirloom Albums come in 3 different sizes; 8×12, 10×10 and 12×12.  Both are designed in-studio, and the amount of images ranges per size of the album.

WHAT IS A GUEST BOOK?

So you had your engagement session photographed, and you’re wondering what to do with those images now also, right?? I love making Guest Books displaying your beautiful images at your wedding and the best part…. Your guests will be able to flip through the pages and sign a sweet message throughout while its displayed on the sign in table. Guest books are designed with lots of white space around the photos making sure there is plenty of room for your guests to sign. Guest books come in 3 sizes; 8×12, 10×10, 12×12 and have a ton of great choices for covers as well as debossing options for the cover, these have the same thickness as the parent albums.
